Welcome

Welcome

Welcome to Heirloom Acres' blog! My goal for this blog is to give you a peek each week at what's going on here on the farm and behind the scenes at Heirloom Acres. There are a lot of moving parts, and as you will see, things don't always go as planned. We do post regularly on Facebook, but that is primary for advertising and routine updates. Here, we will be a little more personal. I hope you will enjoy learning and growing with me.

Summer is typically a slower season for us, but boy have we been busy! If you haven't been out in a while, you will probably (hopefully) notice some changes. The Garden Shoppe has been rearranged in an attempt to improve traffic flow and provide more display space. Plus, we have added several new product lines. In the greenhouse, we have emptied them completely. leveled and graveled the front one and cleared and leveled the back. They should be much easier (and cleaner) to walk in now. We are still in the process of improving parking - the goal is to be ready by our 3rd Annual Harvest Bazaar on September 7th. It's hard to believe it have been 3 years! Other changes are underway. We will post more on those later.

I have had some excellent help this spring and summer. Two ladies from the community have been invaluable with helping with potting and watering, several young men have provided some much-needed muscle to get things moved, and we will be having our first co-op/intern this school year.

Heirloom Acres is definitely on the grow!
